This simple appetizer has all the banana flavors as well as some novelties.A soft layer cake with banana pudding and fresh bananas, plus a layer of whipped cream, cherries, strawberries, butter sauce and chopped pecans.This is a lot of goodies on one plate.So bring some tradition and try this strategy today!
* Ingredients :
° 1 box yellow mix cake or angel food cake blend
° 1 L Pkg. Pudding Banana
° 3 L bananas, sliced
° 1 1/2 c strawberries slice
° 1 – 2 cups chopped fresh pineapple (or 6 ounces crushed pineapple, drained)
° 1 container – cold whisk, thawed
° 1 jar maraschino cherries, cut into cubes
° ½ C chopped pecans
° Half a cup of chocolate syrup
Prepare the cake and make sure it is completely cool before assembling the dessert.
Cut the cake into small pieces. Prepare the pudding mixture. In a trifle plate (or a large salad bowl) cut small pieces using half of the cake for the first layer. Decorate the cake with half pudding, half banana, half strawberry, half pineapple, half Cole Whip, half maraschino cherries, half chocolate syrup and half nuts. Repeat all these steps with the rest of the ingredients in the same order. Relax to you are ready to serving
*Note: When I assemble my pudding, I don’t allow the pudding to harden completely before assembly because I want it to run between pieces of cake before it hardens.
